Discovery Education

Just wanted to do a quick post about Discover Education today.

Here are some of the amazing resources from Discovery Education Network that I use in my classroom.  From left to right; Atlas, Science Techbook, CCSS Alignment for ELA and Math, Streaming videos and  Free Puzzlemaker.  If you haven't used it yet, it's a must for the classroom!

I make assignments, have students create "blog boards," and complete virtual labs.  Thus far, I've used it for computer lab, homework, and whole group, but learned yesterday how to make centers. I don't know how I hadn't thought of that yet, so pretty "duh" moment for me, but I'm so excited to have participated in this training and can't wait to get started. It's so easy to build assignments and implement this in the classroom.
I  can't wait for some time this weekend to actually sit down and work on this.
I LOVE it and know the kiddos will too!

By the way, I am not paid to advertise for Discovery Education.  I'm just sharing something I love with my followers.  Hope you can take a moment to browse and see what's available for you.

I'd love to know if you use this in your classroom.  How do you use it?  Are you a Den Member or STAR?  Do you use assignment builder or board builder?  Are you as excited as I am about Discovery Ed?  I'll pick one random comment (on my Facebook page) to pick an item of his/her choice  from my TPT store tomorrow night at 8 MST. Please visit my Facebook page to comment.

  1. Where did you go for this training? I have access to Discovery Ed, but I don't know much about it. I would love some kind of training on how to use it.

  2. We had the "centers" training a couple of months ago at our school. I really liked it but it has been so hard to find time to plan anything. Also, because of so much testing on the computers, we get kicked out of the labs for 2-3 weeks at a time. *sigh* I'd love to see what centers you're making.

I'll continue to do that through the rest of the week. So, if you comment, make sure to visit my TPT store and email me at ateaspoonofthird@aol.com. letting me know what you'd like from my store and I'll email it as soon as possible.
