Day 5- Organization

I love, love, love Schoolgirl Style.  I am definitely doing buying this to use next year.  I'm totally in love with her poms, daisies, ribbons, lanterns, chalkboards, and tape!
Can't wait to redecorate and organize at the same time!

Melanie has classroom decor by theme.  Here's a list of some of her themes;
Summer, Dogs, Ladybugs, Vintage, Carnival, Bees, Daisies, Polka Dots, Chevrons, Camping, Sea, and Rock Star.

But go check it out for yourself... http://shopschoolgirlstyle.com/

I've been working on organizing everything into binders this year.  I used this for my binder organization and LOVE it!
Ready to binder-ize your classroom, but want to personalize your binders with your own titles, graphics, name, fonts, and more?
Here's the link to purchase this from Brooke from

{adorable blog by the way}

I do have my classroom library organized pretty well.  Everything is labeled according to reading level and genre.  I probably have thousands of books of all levels and interests.

Here are some pics from Pinterest  of some beautifully organized classroom libraries...

There's a lot of information out there about how to do this. Here's what I used...

I need to work on teaching my students how to be organized. Do you have any ideas for me?  I'd love to see/hear what you do.  Please comment with links to your shops, blog posts, Pins, or anything else you'd like to share.  I promise I'll read and buy some of the things that work for you!

Day 4- Professional

I am halfway through getting an endorsement in Library Science (I LOVE Children's Lit!), but would like to pursue an endorsement in Art Education.  I'm going to look into the requirements and start taking some courses over the summer.  I love teaching art and love even more visiting blogs that have lessons for Elementary Art.  Here are some of my favorite sites...

Day 3- Fitness

Fitness is important to me.  I plan to do more indoor and outdoor activities this year.  I want to do more dancing, running, indoor rock climbing, basketball, Pilates, yoga, and soccer.  Last year, I ran a half marathon, and I would love to train for a marathon. Click on the picture below to visit my Pinterest board for some running tips.

This site has some of the cutest running garb I've seen! From 26.2 Christmas ornaments, to clever running tees, to emergency runner kits, this place has them. Check it for you or for your running friend's bday.

Some new things I want to try this year are CrossFit and Aerial Fitness.

I love my Pilates machine and use it on a daily basis!

Door Decorating Contest

I'm so sorry I'm posting this so late!  I have been so busy this break and can't wait to get back to teaching and blogging.  This is a pic of my classroom door {closet}.  I have included a link below so you can see all the other adorable doors.
I have more pics in my classroom, so I'll share those sometime this week. We haven't had access over the break.  Hope you all had a wonderful winter break!
