Halloween

I love the fall and am excited that Halloween is just around the corner.  I wanted to share this with you today.  Melanie, from Schoolgirl Style, made an adorable Halloween collection and is sharing it with all of us!  You can download the "You have been boo-ed" printable along with an adorable "Happy Halloween" bunting, and cute labels for your snack table.  I can't wait to get started on my own decorating. If I can ever stop Pinning all of the great ideas....

Student Council Spirit Days and Fashion Friday Linky

Do you love fashion?

I would love for you to add your blog to my list of fashionable teachers.

Add the link to your blog here if you like to shop and browse Pinterest boards for those cute outfits as much as I do.

{Clip art from Lovelytocu and Jessica Weible Illustrations}

On to my outfit yesterday..I typically wear neutral colors, but yesterday I wore bright yellow...and loved it! Here's my outfit...

On a side note, I love military jackets and http://www.groopdealz.com/  has one for just $28! Here's my idea for a cute military jacket outfit...

I'm one of the Student Council Team Leaders at my school.  We are in the process of planning spirit days. Our school theme is, "Home of the Wranglers."  So I'm thinking we definitely have to do a cowboy/cowgirl day.  We've done things like twin, crazy hair, silly hat, decade, and jersey days. I'd love to do pirate, favorite book character, and military.
Any other ideas?
 Please leave a comment!
I'd love to hear what you've done in your school!

I'd also love to hear what types of activities your StuCo kiddos do!

Here's my outfit idea for our Wrangler day...
.   This gives me a great excuse to buy myself some cute boots!
That's definitely a need...right?!?!

I love cowgirl boots with summer dresses and denim also.  And I absolutely love the rustic wedding theme.
How adorable are these?

Giveaway Winner Announced!

Congratulations to the winners of the Cancer Awareness Giveaway!  And thanks to all who participated.
I'm planning a "Pet Lovers" giveaway for October, so make sure to come back to enter that. It's also for a good cause.

Thank you so much for participating in this giveaway. My heart is full and I am grateful to see so many people jump in to help when it is needed. There were several purchases from my store and from Sass My Style Boutique.  It's not too late to help...all proceeds for the remainder of the month from the stores below will go to help fund the cancer treatments for Kamryn and Jackson.  A special thanks to Lindsey, from Sass My Style Boutique. Now, go shop and help these little super heroes fight their battles against, as Jackson would say, "stupid cancer"...

Ellie's Corner

I just went over to Lovelytocu to buy some new avatars and read that her cat, Ellie, had recently broken her pelvic bone {probably hit by a car}.  She is recovering, but the vet bills are rather high.  I have experienced having to pay thousands in vet bills. It's not easy! Shawna has set up Ellie's Corner in order to help with the bills.  She has added a line of animal clip art, including some adorable cats, birds, squirrels, and other cute animals.  Her pelicans taking a bath clip art is adorable.  I know I'm going to use it when I teach Endangered Species and Earth Day later in the year. Please visit Ellie's Corner and help out.

My pups are my everything, and I would do anything for them.  Let's pull together to share this story and do everything we can to help Shawna.

World Gratitude Day

Mel, From the Pond, has shared a wonderful blog hop for World Gratitude Day. Visit her blog to start the hop.  When you are done, you can enter a giveaway for a $50 voucher.  And along the way, you can grab some great freebies from some amazing bloggers.

I'm grateful for everything in my life. I'm grateful that my family and I are in good health.  I am lucky enough to  live close to my parents, and be able to visit with them often.  I have an amazing husband who supports me in everything I do.  He's in the military, so he travels quite a bit, but I can appreciate him that much more when he leaves and I realize that I can't live without him.  I seriously wouldn't survive...I have no food in my refrigerator and today told a friend, "I guess I won't eat until he comes back {in October}."  Our service men and women {and their spouses} are making huge sacrifices for our country.  I couldn't possibly thank them enough for their service.  I'm fortunate to have the best job in the world.  I love getting up and going to work each day with my amazing students, whom I consider my own.  I'm grateful that I have this online community that I consider family.  I look forward to logging in each day to see what you've posted.  I'm most grateful when I can serve others. In the past few years, I have learned about the atonement and the restoration of the gospel.   Without it, my life is without purpose.  My life has completely changed for the better, thanks to the missionaries who spent time answering questions, praying, and teaching me lessons.  These young men and women are giving two years of their lives to share their love of Christ.  For that, I am eternally grateful.  We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful world that we, so often, take for granted.  We need to spend more of our time stepping away from our busy lives and really thinking about what we do have.  It's in those moments that we can hear that  "still small voice" that can guide us in our lives.
